Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds or deferals for this event. Most race expenses are incurred well in advance of race day when participants register.
Additionally, the Shiner Beer Run has a long-standing policy of not allowing bib transfers due to the extensive backend logistics involved and important liability considerations. Bibs are strictly non-transferable. If a bib is given or sold to another person, it can create serious safety concerns in the event of an emergency.
Participants who give or sell their bib to someone else will be disqualified, and the original registrant will be prohibited from participating in future Shiner Beer Run events.
Because this has been a long standing policy, we will not change it during the middle of registration period for the 2025 race. We will evaluate our policies and space constraints prior to registration opening for the 2026 race and adapt them so that we are able to provide a safe and positive race experience.
We have physical space constraints that limit the amount of participants we can safely allow in each event. We do not expect to change those participantion limits and we do not allow for transfers/deferals, therefore we do not keep a waitlist. You can sign up for email updates on the main registration site and we will send updates to the email list if this changes and when next year's event registration opens.
