St. James Turkey Trot

Thu November 25, 2021 Southport, NC 28461 US

Event Details

Thank you for registering for the St. James Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 25th.  As a participant of this event, you are supporting the American Cancer Society’s life-saving research, programs and services, education and advocacy for cancer patients and their caregivers.  We thank you for joining us in the fight against cancer.  Together, we will find a cure!

To ensure your experience at the event is nothing but positive, there are a few things we want you to know and be prepared for.

1.  The 5k Event begins at 8:30AM and is Rain or Shine.  There is no make-up date and no refunds.

2.  Parking will be tight at and around Woodlands Park.  Please walk or carpool if possible. The start/finish of the walk/run and all festivities will be held at the Pavilion at Woodlands Park.

3.  The St. James Fire Department will be assisting us with road closures and parking, so please follow their lead.

4.   You may pick up your Race Packet on Wednesday, November 24th between 3 and 5 PM at Woodlands Park. You will receive your tee shirt, your bib number and safety pins at check-in.
(Since we have had a record-breaking year we would appreciate your help with Packet Pick Up.  Simply make a note of your bib number and be ready to tell the volunteer your number at Check-In.  You are welcome to pick up packets for friends/family/neighbors but we ask that you do bring a list of numbers you are picking up with you.)  You can find your bib number on the Find a Participant Tab on the registration website.

5.     If you are unable to do so on Wednesday, you may pick up your packet on Thursday morning between 7:30 and 8:00AM

6.     Please no pets along the route.  We all love our pets but bringing your dog along has the potential to be a safety hazard for both our participants and your pet.  Please leave them at home.

7.     Strollers are welcome.  We will ask that our faster participants start at the front and our slower participants start at the back.

8.  We will not hold onto any valuables for you. So, please have a plan with regard to purses, tee shirts, car keys etc.
