Run it Again, for the First Time!

Welcome to Running The Rails, formerly 'The Great Train Race', held by the Ypsilanti Area Jaycees in conjunction with the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival.

This is a 5K run/walk, a 10K running race, and a Kids Fun Runs (12 and Under), with all races being timed. Proceeds from this event is used by the Ypsilanti Area Jaycees to conduct their community outreach and service projects throughout the year.

The race takes place in the City of Ypsilanti, MI and runs through Depot Town and the countryside of surrounding Ypsilanti. You will start off by "racing the train", following Huron River Dr., and then be led into beautiful Superior Township and the countryside surrounding Ypsilanti, ending in historic Depot Town.

Each runner registered before August 1st is guaranteed one of this year's new moisture management tech shirts.

Awards will given to the top-three in each 5 year age group, with awards and prizes given to the overall winner and runner-up in each division.
