Description
The fourth annual 5K Run/Walk at Barstow draws participants from the Kansas City running community as well as Barstow students, parents, grandparents and alumni. Along with the race there will be a Kids Obstacle Course, fabulous pre-race food, Chris Cakes pancake breakfast after the race, fitness demos, health screenings, team prizes and much more. Proceeds from the event benefit Barstow’s Annual Fund.
T-Shirts
Participants will NOT receive a t-shirt with registration. T-Shirts are available for purchase for $10 per shirt by clicking on the "store" tab at the top of the page or can be purchased at Packet Pickup on Friday, October 2, or on Race Day, Saturday, October 3.
Awards
All finishers of the 5K and Kid's Obstacle Course/Fun Run will receive a finisher's medal.
Awards given for top overall male/top overall female
Awards given to the top 3 Male and top 3 Female 5k finishers in the following age groups:
6 and under, 7-8, 9-10,11-12,13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Team Awards
Awards will be given to the captain of each team for the following categories:
**Best costume
**Largest Team
**Oldest Team (average age of all team members)
**Youngest Team (average age of all team members)
