Rucknooga

Rucknooga is an event that will occur on October 8, 2016 in the heart of Chattanooga, TN. It was thought up by former and current Marines to honor the Fallen Five by doing something Marines are known for, ruck marches. In the months following the terrorists attack on July 16, 2015 many servicemen, law enforcement officers, and members of the public wanted to do something to show respect and honor to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. This ruck not only allows those individuals to do something physical and outside (in the Spirit of the Marines and the City of Chattanooga), but also allows them the opportunity to remember and reflect on the price for freedom. We will begin where that fateful day began, stop to pay our respects to the fallen at their gravesite, and end where five service member’s lives ended.
