JOIN US FOR THE INAUGURAL 5K4PD CHARITY NIGHT RUN FOR PJ PARKINSON'S SUPPORT!
5K4PD is 5k night run for Parkinson's Disease benefitting PJ Parkinson's Support. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to help people better understand this progressive nervous system disorder and offer patients and their families a caring environment full of support.
Details: The inaugural 5K4PD Night Run will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 9:00pm at Pinnacle at Turkey Creek in Knoxville, TN.
Course Description and Highlights: The course is a flat loop that will utilize the Parkside Greenway, sidewalks and roads around the Pinnacle at Turkey Creek shopping center.
Registration and Entry Fee: $30 per participant for early registration before June 13, 2021. $35 per participant after June 13, 2021 and t-shirt and/or preferred size cannot be guaranteed. Only registered participants will receive a shirt and be qualified for prizes.
Teams: If competing as a team, the team captain will submit the total mileage, or funds raised for the team in order to be eligible for team prizes.
Cause: In 2015, PJ Parkinson's Support was created and is now working with other support groups in the East Tennessee area to increase awareness of Parkinson's Disease and what is being done locally to help those with Parkinson's and their families.
Fundraisers: Please become an individual fundraiser when you register to participate in the race OR when you register as a virtual participant!
T-Shirts: Each 5K Night Run and Virtual participant will receive an official 5K4PD t-shirt if registered by the t-shirt deadline of June 13, 2021. Please choose size when registering. We cannot guarantee t-shirt or preferred sizes if registering after June 13. Virtual runners shirts will be mailed after the live race.
Packet Pick-Up: For in-person participants packets including race bibs, t-shirts, coupons, additional give-a-ways and more will be available for pick up the day of the race at the Pinnacle of Turkey Creek stage area beginning at 6:30pm.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners the 5K Night Run. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will also be awarded to age group winners. Team plaques will be awarded for largest team and top fundraising team.
