Because of the popularity of the race, from August to November we are working with the UT Office of Asia Engagement to extend the virtual run to welcome students, faculty, and staff safely return to campus and to celebrate cultural diversity. The race will be part of the International Education Week, celebrated around the country from November 16 through November 20. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
May is Asian/Pacific Islanders celebration Month. Join us Virtual 5K run/ 1 mile walk. Engaging in regular physical activity is a great way to help manage stress and strengthen your immune system. In fact, research shows that "fit individuals" -- defined as those who partake in regular physical activity -- have a lower incidence of infection compared to inactive and sedentary individuals. What's more, being physically active may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases that could further weaken your immune system, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. 5K run or 1 mile walk is the start for your healthier life.
Since March, we have been donating part of the race registration fee to support local COVID-19 relief efforts.

As an athlete, we appreciate the efforts you make to train and your commitment to maintaining a health and fitness routine. And now let's channel that energy to create the most fun virtual run experience ever. Here is how to complete a virtual run, receive your medal and gear, and have fun while doing it.
