Race time is 7am...please arrive around 6am for registration and check in!!
We are running OR walking from Tullahoma to Manchester! Let's Connect Coffee County!!
We will begin at 7am at Tullahoma Drug and finish on the square in Manchester. A link to the course is below. The distance is a half marathon distance (13.1 miles). FEAR NOT -- if you don't want to run OR walk 13.1 miles you can get some of your friends to help you complete the journey via our relay team option.
Each team may have up to 8 members (as few as 2) which means each person on an 8 member team would just average a little over 1 and 1/2 miles. However, you can split up the mileage however you see fit! In the past we have had assigned transition points. This year we are trying something new - YOU decide where you transition. All we ask is that you BE SAFE!! If you have someone that only wants to do a mile - that's ok! If someone wants to do 5 - that's great!
You work out race day transportation amongst your team members. Typically one or two people will drive to the designated transition point (decided upon by your team) and the participant finishing their leg will catch a ride and the new participant will take the proverbial baton and continue to the next transition!
As always - you are your first line of defense when it comes to safety! However, when we begin in Tullahoma we will have police escorts until we get to Highway 55. On Highway 55 we will run against traffic and the highway will have safety cones to create an even safer environment. Once we enter Manchester we will finish our Highway 55 and Highway 41 journeys on the sidewalks. At busy intersections we will have volunteers directing traffic. There will be volunteers directing traffic as we cross Highway 41 at College Street and the flashing school lights will be on. We believe it to be a very safe race or we wouldn't host it! Again - there will be traffic so you will need to pay attention.
