Description
This is another fun & competitive race (A Renewal Run) in lovely Cravens Park in south Arlington. The loop out & back course -- relatively flat & fast, partly tree-shaded. Come have fun running, walking, strolling … as we move into the Lent season. Parking in the park. Donated school supplies for Girls Inc. of Tarrant County or new-born diapers for Arlington*Mansfield Pregnancy Centers. The net race proceeds will go to the two organizations. Awards:
Awards to 1st Overall male and female finishers, 1st Masters male and female finishers in the 5K. Top 3 finishers in the following age/gender groups also will be awarded: 6 & Under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80. All 1 Mile finishers will receive participation ribbons.
Beneficiary(-ies):
The race belatedly ushers in the new year with A Renewal Run II theme and engages a Lenten devotion.. Net proceeds will be given to Girls Inc. of Tarrant County -– “inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold” [www.girlsinctarrant.org] and to Arlington*Mansfield Pregnancy Centers --“empowering women to make educated choices.” [www.arlingtonpc.org] The donated school supplies and new-born diapers will go to the two organizations, respectively.

This is a fun & competitive race in lovely Cravens Park in south Arlington. The course is flat & fast, and is partly tree-shaded. DIRECTIONS FROM DALLAS, FORT WORTH, etc. Exit onto Matlock Rd. off I-20 in Arlington and go south. Go past Stephens, Bardin and Green Oaks. Turn Left at the intersection of Matlock & Cravens Park Drive (just after Nathan Lowe Road on the right). Turn Right at the second entrance (about 0.2 mile from Matlock) and go into the Park (Cravens Park).

This will be the eleventh edition of this race series. Complete results from some of the previous years – and this year’s -- can be found on the Web at www.runningintheusa.com and other sites.
Offline Fees:
Mail-in fees are $10 if mailed by 3/8/11 (Forms may be obtained by e-mail by contacting jephaa@yahoo.com or visiting http://www.runningintheusa.com/jeph on the Web). Walk-in fees (through March 11) are $10 at The RUNNER, 3535 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington TX 76013 (817-461-2281). Race day fees are $15. Plus school supplies or new-born diapers on race day. NO T-SHIRTS! But a small, scholarly memento.
