Avery Community VFD Spring Fish Fry fund raiser and annual bicycle gravel grind and paved Farm Road ride also.
Gravel route follows the NETT North East Texas Trail and portions of the RAT (Ride across Texas) gravel routes. East NETT ride will be 23.7 miles, c-stores in Dekalb at 9 mile mark., route comes back by Avery VFD at 24 mile point fried fish dinner will be served. (ride can be made shorter by detouring on county roads) route maps available for this, just ask us. Some NETT Trail, some pavement and a lot of gravel. Route is mostly flat with a few hills. Will be self supported, SAG will available if needed (just give us a call). Contact Avery VFD for more info. (9032444731) Ride routes will be marked with directional arrows.
This year a 28.2 mile paved road ride will also be added on the country Farm Roads around Avery and Annona.
We will also have a novice/beginner ride from Avery on the North East Texas Texas Trail. Ride as far as you like than turn around and come back staying on the NETT. This will be a free ride with a fish dinner after (we appreciate a donation for the Fish Dinner!) Come get your feet wet and try out the NETT.
