WHAT IS NEXT GENERATION TRAIL RACES?
We here at Trail Racing Over Texas think it is important to give our kids and children the opportunity to run the trails just like the adults. We want to promote trail running as a way to encourage youth to be active, be healthy and have fun. The ages are from 0-18 years of age. The process will be the exact same as you would expect from a TROT race with some additions. We will have bibs, shirts and medals for all of the runners that finish the race. We will not have awards for individual places though in the race. We want our youth athletes to get the experience of picking up a packet, starting at the banner and finishing with an amazing medal as well.
We will need a lot of support in putting these events on with safety and structure. Parents will be REQUIRED to run with their child if he/she requires it. We will have a check in/check out on the course and also have safety monitors that will run in the races as well.
