Welcome to the 1st Annual Evelyn Tarrant Center Faith Walk. The purpose for this 5K walk is to bring service and hope together – we do that by FAITH!
The Faith Walk is an annual event to honor the legacy of Dr. Evelyn Louise Tarrant… her acts of kindness, love, and care for individuals and families in her community who were less fortunate.
Working proudly as a maid for nearly 60 years, Mrs. Tarrant would work untiringly to ensure families in the community were clothed and fed. Her legacy and work continue through The Evelyn Tarrant Center, a nonprofit organization created to assist individuals, families, youth, and those needing a helping hand in the community.
Our mantra at The Evelyn Tarrant Center is, “If I can help somebody along the way, my living will not be in van.”
Your participation in Faith Walk 2022 will go further than the 3 miles you will walk on Saturday, September 24th. The focus and theme for this year is, “Walking for Peace – Fueling our Hope”. With the worldwide tensions we are facing, let’s come together as a community and walk for peace and fuel our hope!
