The XC Race at Rowlett Creek Preserve

DFW XC mountain bike racing is back. FREE for Club Spinistry members! Signup closes 8pm Central Friday evening. There will NOT be any day of or on site registration.

Racing features a 9 mile loop throughout the (almost) world famous RCP. Category racing by skill and then subdivided by age and gender based on actual registrations. We won't know the specific age and gender breaks until race day. Award group sizes based on at least 10 racers per group. Awards as follows:

36 Mile Overall Top 3 Cash
36 Mile Women Top 3 Cash
Groups will be staged in the following order: Group 4/5, Group 2/3. Non cash awards for Top in Group/Gender/Age as signups allow for (excludes overall winners).

27 Mile Overall Top 3 Cash
27 Mile Women Top 3 Cash
Groups will be staged in the following order: Group 4/5, Group 2/3. Non cash awards for Top in Group/Gender/Age as signups allow for (excludes overall winners).

18 Mile Overall Top 3 Non cash awards
18 Mile WomenTop 3 Non cash awards
Groups will be staged in the following order: Group 3, Group 2, Group 1. Non cash awards for Top in Group/Gender/Age as signups allow for (excludes overall winners).

9 Mile Overall Beginner Race Top 3 Non cash awards
9 Mile Women Beginner Race Top 3 Non cash awards
This will be a mass start for the full group. Non cash awards for Top in Group/Gender/Age as signups allow for (excludes overall winners).

How to determine your appropriate Spinistry Race Group:

We've been working on a category model based on racing speeds. We call them Spinistry Racing Groups. We are working with a limited data set so far but it will flesh out over time. Basically, find the people you know who are comparable to you in skillset and race in that category if you haven't been assigned to a group yet.
