Veterans Mesothelioma 5k Charity Run

Join Us in the Fight Against Mesothelioma Cancer!

All event proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, and the West Roxbury VA.

Date: November 8, 2015

Location: The course begins at the University of Houston Downtown Naylor Parking Lot and is out and back on the Heights Hike & Bike Trail.

Time:

6:45 AM – Pre-registered check-in opens for bib #s & shirt pick-up near start/finish line, Race Day Registration opens.

7:45 AM – Race Day Registration closes.

7:50 AM – Start line assembles, final race day instructions

8:00 AM – START! 1st Annual Veterans Mesothelioma 5k Charity Run

9:10 AM – Post-race results, Awards, Raffle Prizes, Food

Cost:
Early Registration up to October 24: $20 for adults and $10 for participants under 18
Late Registration from October 25th to November 7th: $25 for adults and $15 for participants under 18
Race Day Registration on November 8th: $30 for adults and $20 for participants under 18

Timing: Will be by Chip timing

Awards: Medals will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers. Ribbons will give given to the top 3 finishers of various age groups.

Prizes: T-shirts are guaranteed for all early registrants. There will be limited quantities available to late and race-day registrants on a first-come, first-serve basis. Also, all early registrant runners will be automatically entered to win raffle prizes donated from Houston businesses. Everyone will be able to enjoy post-race breakfast burritos and snacks!

Prohibited: Baby strollers, roller skates, skateboards, dogs
