Go The Distance is an 18 week program designed to get you to your best Marathon or Half Marathon ever! Each week will include 4 in person coached sessions. This year you have the choice of joining us in the mornings, or if you're an evening runner you can choose the "Saturday Only" option for the group on Saturdays and do your weekday evening workouts on your own.
Our Saturday Long Run will be mapped and supported with hydration stations. Our weekday sessions will include a mix of workouts, such as hills, track runs and tempo runs at locations around the Cinco Ranch and Katy area.
Your training plan will be delivered through the Training Peaks platform and will include workouts for the additional days that we are not meeting in person. Back again by popular demand this year is a once a week strength class with a personal trainer. Registration also includes access to a private Facebook page with weekly content and this year, an awesome soft long sleeve hoodie!

Your choice of an "A" plan or a "B" plan. Which should you choose?
"A" plan: Choose this plan if you can answer yes to 3 or more of these questions.
- Is your goal to PR your race, qualify for Boston or go sub 4 Full/Sub 2 Half?
- Are you injury free?
- Do you have additional time on the weekdays to run? Eg: Up to 90-120 minutes?
- Is your current base mileage 25+ miles per week?
"B" plan: Choose this plan if you can answer yes to 3 or more of these questions.
- Is this your first to third marathon/half? Or have you had a break from running marathons/halfs?
- Do you struggle with running injuries? Or are you coming off a recent injury?
- Is your base summer mileage under 25 miles per week?
- Are you on a strict time schedule during the weekdays?
Morning In Person Group Schedule
The weekday training group will meet Monday/Wednesday at 5:30 am, Tuesday at 5:15 am for strength, and Saturday at 6 am. Locations will include Beck Jr High Track, Lakehouse at Spring Green, Villagio/Good Times Running Co. We will also have a once a month long run "field trip" where we run somewhere interesting! All locations, and times will be specified in your Training Peaks calendar.
Additionally, in conjunction with our partner Good Times Running Co, we will offer one evening educational presentation during the program season.
This training program is suitable for ALL paces! Including those who do a run/walk. Runners can use this program to build up to the Chevron Houston Marathon (January 14, 2024), Disney Marathon (January 7, 2024), Rock n Roll Arizona Marathon (January 14, 2024), Charleston Marathon (January 20, 2024), Louisiana Marathon (January 14, 2024).

Refund / Deferral Policy
If you register and inform us that you are unable to participate in the program BEFORE it starts you will have two options: (1) defer your registration to a later program; or (2) receive a refund. We are unable to offer deferrals or refunds after the program starts and training plans have been delivered to participants. For questions please contact email@example.com.
