Run for a Cure Team Challenge
The theme for our race is HOPE FOR A CURE! We all know that there is strength in numbers. The most effective teamwork happens when individuals work together for a common goal. When it comes to beating cancer, support from family, friends and others can make a world of difference.
Create a team for the RUN FOR A CURE 5K and run or walk to support people affected by breast cancer.
Members of the largest team will receive a gift.
According to a study published on healthline.com, regular exercise can help prevent cancer as well as help people undergoing cancer treatment. The experts recommend 30 minutes of aerobic exercise 3 times a week and strength training 2 to 3 times a week. Another study published on Cancer.gov says exercise after a diagnosis of breast, colon, or prostate cancer is associated with longer survival.
