7th Annual Step Up for Epilepsy SuperHero 5K

The Step Up for Epilepsy SuperHero 5K Fun Run &Walk is a family fun event held in November to celebrate National Epilepsy Awareness Month.
New Location! In order to accommodate the tremendous growth of our event we had to find a bigger place. Nothing is bigger & better than our beautiful San Antonio River! Come out to Mission County Park II and enjoy the serene beauty of the nature trials that hug San Antonio’s most treasured landmark! The fully accessible paved course will not disappoint! Can’t walk or run a 5K? No worries! The event is NOT timed and short cuts are available!

New Theme! In honor of the “SuperHeroes” who live with the daily challenge of epilepsy and their loved ones, we celebrate YOU….. You are our true “SuperHeroes”! Wear your favorite “SuperHero” costume as we celebrate YOU! (There will be prizes… so be creative) Start planning NOW!
Who? Runners, walkers, families, strollers and leashed dogs are all welcome! Walk alongside your favorite SuperHeroes & Stormtroopers!
What’s happening? Music, food, face painting and sp much more! The event includes a 5K for those who like to run/walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk for those wanting a shorter route!
Live too far away? Can’t get up that early? Join us as a “Sleep in for a Cause” Virtual Walker! Help the cause without missing a wink of sleep. Virtual walkers receive all the benefits of participating without having to be there on the big day!
Why? Because 1 in 26 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy! They need your help! Be a “Hero”!
Proceeds from the Step Up For Epilepsy SuperHero 5K Fun Run & Walk benefit the programs and services offered by the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas. The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas is the only non-profit organization solely dedicated to providing epilepsy services to the more than 140,000 adults and children in Central and South Texas.
