Description
We are excited to have you, your family, and friends for the 2nd annual Coconut 5k Run/Walk!
Date, Time, and Location
The Coconut 5k will be held from 8:30AM-2:00PM CST on September 23rd, 2023.
The Coconut 5k Run is a 5k Race held at O.P. Schnabel Park in San Antonio, TX on Sept 23rd, 2023. This is a run/walk event - nobody is required to run! At the end of the race, every participant will be given a medal, coconut water & taco to nourish themselves!
If you would like to compete then please arrive at O.P. Schnabel Park no later than 8:30AM. All runners ready by 8:30AM will have a chance to compete for 1st or 2nd prize!
After 8:30 AM, the Coconut 5k Run/Walk will be a rolling start.
Pricing
For Individual Runners: registration is $30/person*.
For Teams or Families of 4+: registration is $25/person*. Once you click 'Sign Up' above and register 4 participants, your discount will be applied.
Kids 5 years old and under are free to participate!
*We are taking on-site registration on the day of the event (Sat., Sept. 23rd). You can still register at our Registration station at O.P. Schnabel Park from 8:30AM-12PM on Sat., Sept 23rd, however, we recommend you register online to get the right size t-shirt reserved for you.
Virtual Option
You can support and virtually attend the "2nd Annual Coconut 5K Run/Walk" event on September 23, 2023! We will ship you your medal and t-shirt!

Additional Information
The race is hosted by St. Mary's Indian Orthodox Church in San Antonio. A portion of the proceeds from the race will be donated to Awaaz.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided at the race location.

free and confidential multilingual helpline, peer support, community outreach, and referrals. Our
goal is to lead the South Asian community to acknowledge and help prevent family violence.
OUR PURPOSE:
Formed in 2011, Awaaz is a voluntary non-profit organization based in San Antonio, Texas, that
provides awareness and culturally appropriate assistance for South Asian families to break the
cycle of family violence.
