Description

San Antonio RoadRunners invite you to join our award-winning Walk 2 Run 5K Beginner Training Program! This is an excellent program for beginner runners, walkers, and those returning to running after time off. Team will meet 2x/week for group training that fosters physical fitness, healthy habits, and running knowledge all in a FUN and ENCOURAGING environment.

All levels are welcome
Dates: March 27 - May 15, 2021.
Weekly Group Runs on Tuesday evenings & Saturday mornings (April 3rd is ROYO - RunOnYourOwn)
Kickoff: Saturday, March 27th at 7:45am at McAllister Park Trailhead (large parking lot near the dog park).
Graduation Race: May 15th (location to be announced).
Includes: Training Team shirt.
Cost: $20 for SARR Members; join during signup if not a member

Program is designed for those who have a goal to run a 5K (3.1 miles) with a little to no walking by graduation.
Led by by SARR RRCA certified coaches.
Flexible weekly workout schedule.
Weekly coaches' email and optional Facebook group for sharing information and team photos.

San Antonio RoadRunners Training is a volunteer-led program designed to help runners and run/walkers of all levels get started or improve their running! Our coaches and pace-leaders will help you with:

Current Covid-19 guidelines allow for us to meet in small groups with proper social distancing. Should guidelines or restrictions change before or during our training season we will modify our in-person sessions accordingly.
