Arkansas Grand Prix Series & the Natural State Running Series

Arkansas Grand Prix Series - We are very pleased to be in the prestigious 2024 Arkansas Grand Prix Series. Our 2024 Run the Line Half Marathon will be our 14th year to proudly be in the Series. The Arkansas RRCA Grand Prix is a series of about 17 races affiliated with RRCA and Arkansas running clubs throughout the state. Information about the Series is available at www.arkrrca.com. Relay Teams are not permitted in the Grand Prix Series.

Natural State Running Series - We are a qualified race again in the 2024 Natural State Running Series. Runners have two years to complete 8 marathons and/or half marathons in different Arkansas running events. The qualified running events are chosen based on their location, time of year, size, and non-profit status. The races and registration information are available at www.naturalstateruns.com.

2-Person and 4-Person Relay Teams

When registering for the 2024 Run the Line participants have three running options. They can participate in the 13.1-mile Half Marathon, or a 2-Person Relay Team (6.55 miles per member), or a 4-Person Relay Team (approximately 3.27 miles per member). Relay teams, like individual participants, must complete the race by 11:30am. Participants may also be walkers.

Relay team's members need to register at the same time. One team member can gather all of their team member's information and register for all of their team members at the same time. Or, team members can register individually one directly after the other.

All Relay Team members are responsible for their transportation to their Relay Points. We are unable to provide transportation for relay team members. The relay team members may drive themselves, or a family member or friend may drive the relay team members. Parking is available at each of the Relay Points.

Each 2-Person Relay Team member completes 6.55 miles (half the race). The starting 2-Person Relay Team member completes the first half of the race to the 6.55-mile Relay Point (see the course map). The finishing 2-Person Relay Team member will wait until their partner reaches the 6.55-mile Relay Point where the finishing member is tagged by the first member. Then, the finishing 2-Person Relay Team member begins the second half 6.55-miles of the race to the Finish Line.

Each 4-Person Relay Team member completes ≈ 3.275 miles (one quarter of the race). The starting 4-Person Relay Team member runs from the Start to the first Relay Point (see the course map) and tags the second member. The second 4-Person Relay Team member runs from the first Relay Point to the 6.55-mile Relay Point and tags the third member. The third 4-Person Relay Team member runs from the 6.55-mile Relay Point to the third Relay Point and tags the fourth member. Then, the fourth 4-Person Relay Team member runs from the third Relay Point to the Finish Line.

Relay Teams are required to have a team name. Both members of a 2-Person Relay Team will receive a timing chip for their shoe. For a 4-Person Relay Team, only the first and last designated members will receive a timing chip for their shoe. Finish time is captured for the team, not for individual team members.

Do not cross the finish line more than once with your timing chip attached to your shoe.  Instructions, including suggested driving directions, will be emailed to Relay Team participants at least 10 days before the race.
