We run for all kids that come through the doors of all CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System hospitals and clinics. Kids like 2018 Miracle Child, "Joyful Jack" Bryans
The Bryans family has four amazing children, but their youngest, 2018 Miracle Child, “Joyful” Jack came into the Bryans family a little differently than his siblings. Parents, Renae and Casey, became licensed foster parents in April 2013 and quickly received a call for their first foster child, a 3-week-old baby boy who was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital. After meeting Jack and caring for him alongside the NICU team, Renae and Casey took their baby boy home, eventually adopting him into their brood of three biological children. On Jack’s first birthday, he was still unable to sit up on his own, and his family was understandably concerned. After extensive testing Jack’s diagnosis was confirmed as Leigh’s Syndrome. Leigh’s syndrome is a severe and progressive disease that affects the entire body.Despite the struggles he faces, Jack Bryans chooses joy each day, earning him the nickname “Joyful Jack”.He is surrounded by older siblings and parents who adore him, and is cared for by dedicated team supported by resources provided by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. So lace up your shoes to help make miracles for kids like Jack!
Race will begin/end behind the Woodcreek Athletic Club at 6110 S. Broadway Avenue, Tyler, TX 75703. (Behind Andy's Frozen Custard)
