Given the current COVID-19 situation, and directive from Governor Abbott regarding group gatherings, and after careful consideration of the health and safety of our supporters and families, the Miracle Run has been postponed indefinitely. We still plan to make Miracles for the kids of Northeast Texas, and all funds raised will go toward improving pediatric healthcare in our area. In the event that you already registered for the race, you will be mailed a commemorative CMN Hospitals t-shirt. If you have questions, please reach out to the race director at email@example.com.

We run for all kids that come through the doors of all CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System hospitals and clinics. Kids like 2020 Miracle Child, Kimber Jane.
When you meet Kimber, the first thing you’ll notice is her infectious smile. But things haven’t always been so joyful for the De La Cruz family. The beginning of Kimber’s life was full of obstacles they had to overcome together. Kimber was born at 27 weeks’ gestation. Weighing just 1lb. 15oz. and measuring only 13.5 inches long, the doctors knew Kimber would have to fight for her life in the neonatal intensive care unit at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Tyler. After 84 days in the NICU, Kimber was finally able to come home.
At just under a year old, Kimber was officially diagnosed with Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy, meaning so her right side is weaker than her left due to damage sustained to her brain as a complication of prematurity. Kimber’s ongoing physical challenges include weakness in her right arm and leg, balance issues, and a minor speech delay, but that doesn't slow her down! Whether dancing to whatever music may be playing, cheering for her siblings at their sports matches, or simply hanging out with her family, Kimber is a happy four-year-old girl!
During her stay at the NICU, many of the advanced pieces of equipment used to save Kimber’s life were purchased by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. To help her grow stronger, she currently receives occupational, physical and speech therapies and attends the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Special Needs Clinic, provided by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Sign up today to run for kids like Kimber Jane!
Race will begin/end behind the Woodcreek Athletic Club at 6110 S. Broadway Avenue, Tyler, TX 75703. (Behind Andy's Frozen Custard)
