Description

The Grit Games Virtual Competition is designed to give you a taste of the Grit Games LIVE that happens in August. With the Grit Games Virtual ANYONE from ANYWHERE can participate. Like The Grit Games Live, the Virtual has 5 events, but instead of all in one day, they are spaced out over 4 weeks. 

5 Workouts to be completed during the month April from anywhere on Earth.
Workouts 1 & 2 will be done and submitted in the first week. April 2nd - April 8th
Workout 3 will be done and submitted the second week. April 9th - April 15th
Workout 4 will be done and submitted the 3rd week. April 16th - April 22nd
Workout 5 will be done and submitted the 4th week. April 23rd - April 29th

​PRO DIVISION Workouts: 

Check the RULE BOOK for all movement and submission standards. 

1. STRENGTH - “So Over This”
max reps of Over The Shoulders in 5 mins (100lbs/80lbs)

Submission Standard: Must be filmed and submitted unbroken in its entirety.

2. SPEED - “Your Everyday 5k”
Run a 5k 

Submission Standard: Must be filmed and submitted unbroken in its entirety.
Must be performed on an official 400m track. Must be submitted using an approved device: Garmin, Polar, or Coros, Suunto. etc.

3. Obstacle - “Hang Time”
max dead hang

Submission Standard: Must be filmed and submitted unbroken in its entirety.

4. OCR - “Psych”
For Time (unpartitioned)
- 800m run
80 - Wall Balls (20lb-10ft/14lb-9ft)
60 - Burpee Box Overs (24 inch)
40 - Hanging Shoulder Taps
20 - Weighted Walking Lunges (60lb/40lb) (20 on each side)
- 800m run

Submission Standard: Must be filmed and submitted unbroken in its entirety including 800m run
800m portions must be submitted using an approved device: Garmin, Polar, Coros, or Suunto, etc.

5. ENDURANCE - “Never Ending Party Mile”
1 mile farmers carry for time (53lbs/44lbs)
10 burpees every time you set the weights down.

Submission Standard: Must be filmed and submitted unbroken in its entirety.
Must be performed on an official 400m track.

Must complete and submit all workouts to be on the final leaderboard and qualify for prizes. .


OPEN DIVISION Workouts:

For Time

- 800m run
50 -Wall Balls (14lb-10ft/10lb-8ft)
40 - Burpee Box Overs (20 inch)
30 - Hanging Shoulder Taps
20 - Weighted Walking Lunges (40lb/30lb) (20 on each side)
- 800m run

5. ENDURANCE - "Never Ending Party Mile"
1 mile farmers carry for time (44lbs/35lbs)
*10 burpees every time weights drop

When: April 2nd through April 29th

Each workout will need to be completed and submitted within the mentioned dates for that workout.

April 2nd - April 8th: STRENGTH - "So Over This" and SPEED - "Your Everyday 5K"
April 9th - April 15th: Obstacle/Grip - "Hang Time"
 April 16th - April 22nd: OCR - "Psych!"
April 23rd - April 29th: ENDURANCE - "Never Ending Party Mile"

The Cost:

Pro: $49

Open: $39


The SWAG: The price includes all 5 events (that we will have to watch 100s of videos of!), a rad T-shirt and a Grit Games Virtual Patch)

Prizes: 


Pro Division: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in the Pro division will get a super fancy winners plaque, bragging rights, and a CA$H PRIZE!

1st: $500

2nd: $250

3rd: $100


Open Division:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in the Open division will get a super fancy winners plaque, and of course, bragging rights!
