Catch your breath on the a Ferry ride and keep an eye out for Dolphins! Run along the seawall in Galveston Island passing historical markers and Pleasure Pier through the quiet towns of Jamaica Beach, Sea Isle and more on your way to the San Luis Pass. Take in the breeze as you make your way across the San Luis Pass and once you reach Freeport take the path less traveled through the Kelly Hamby Nature trail which will lead you back to the sand. Enjoy miles of beach and the sound of the waves as you get closer to Surfside Beach and end at Fort Velasco.
The Southern Coast Challenge is 40 Miles beginning in Aransas Pass at the Redfish Bay Causeway as you trek towards Port Aransas. Take in the view once you hit Port Aransas Beach and then make your way to Mustang Island (and yes, you may see some horses). Be on the lookout for wildlife and turtle nests as you enter Padre Island National Seashore to end your challenge.
The Texas Coast 100 Mile Challenge highlights both courses - are you up for the challenge?
