COURSE
Start & Finish -The 5 miler course and the 5k course will both start at the trail head behind Ethan Allen Furniture on North point parkway. Across from North Point Mall (Behind Ethan Allen, .2 miles North of Encore Parkway on the Right)
PARKING & RESTROOMS- There is ample parking in the Big Creek Greenway parking that is located down behind Ethan Allen Furniture. Once you turn in just behind Ethan Allen signs will show you to continue down to the parking area. There are bathrooms and water fountains located just across from the starting point of the trail.
The 5 At Big Creek 5K
The Starting line is at the Information board at the beginning of the trail just across from the bathrooms pictured below. The course follows the paved path for .18 of a mile where you will take a left to enter the main Big Creek path. You will stay on the main path for the next 1.37 miles for the halfway point at 1.55 miles where you will turn around and head back to the finish. At the turn around you will see tennis courts off to the left . Please note at .59 of a mile there is a small section of one directional trail please follow the one direction of traffic staying to the right and you will stay to the right coming back following the one directional path. There are arrows on the path showing the direction and also pictures below . There are a few side trails that lead off the mail trail but you want to STAY ON THE MAIN TRAIL.
The 5 At Big Creek 5 Miler
The Starting line is at the Information board at the beginning of the trail just across from the bathrooms pictured below. The course follows the paved path for .18 of a mile where you will take a left to enter the main Big Creek path. You will stay on the main path for the next 2.32 miles for the halfway point at 2.50 miles where you will turn around and head back to the finish. The turnaround is right before a bridge seen in the picture below The smart application will audibly tell you halfway point turn around. Please note at .59 of a mile there is a small section of one directional trail please follow the one direction of traffic staying to the right and you will stay to the right coming back following the one directional path. There are arrows on the path showing the direction and also pictures below . There are a few side trails that lead off the mail trail but you want to STAY ON THE MAIN TRAIL. If you for some reason you cant stand it and want to run off onto a side trail the application will let you know you are off course.
