FAQs
How do transitions work for the indoor triathlon?
The transitions for this indoor triathlon are untimed, but standardized. Each ehat will move through the legs as a group and will start each leg at the same time. Athletes will have roughly 10 minutes after the last swimmer exits the water to change in the locker rooms in the pool before the ride. Additionally, athletes will bring their running gear to the bike portion.
Is there a race check-in/packet pickup?
Because it is an indoor triathlon, check-in only occurs the day of the race. Check-in starts at 11 AM followed by a pre-race briefing at 11:45 AM before the first wave at 12:00 PM.
Where should I park for the triathlon? How do I get into the MizzouRec?
It's recommended to park at the Virginia Avenue Parking Structure. Parking is free during the weekends. One should go through the main entrance and turn left before the second set of doors to check in with MizzouRec staff.
Will there be a swim warm up?
Yes; the pool will be available to warm up starting at 11:00 AM and between heats.
What do I bike with?
Athletes can bike with sneakers, and every bike is eqipped with toe cages. Athletes will be allowed to clip into spin bikes with SPD (mountain bike) clips if they choose. SPD-SL clips will not work with our bikes.
How do I store my non-race things?
Bleachers within the pool will be open for participants to put their things down.
