True Colors 5K Run/Walk

Race Venue

1. Where will be the race be held?  The Start/Finish line will be located near the Department of Criminal Justice training center on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University (EKU). The address for the DOCJT Building is 521 Lancaster Ave, Richmond, KY 40475
2. What time does the race start?  The 5K event will start at 10:00 am.
3. What time should I arrive?  Please arrive at least one hour before the race start time.
4. Where will I park?  Parking is available in the Stratton Lot.

 

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race t-shirt and race number?  On race day starting at 9:00 am.
2. Can I view a course map?  Yes. Select the "5K Course Map" menu (under "Race Info" menu) to view the course map.
3. Is the course totally on paved surfaces?  No. Approximately 2 miles of the course will be on a woodchip trail on the EKU campus.
4. Is the course suitable for strollers?  No. Due to the soft nature of the woodchip trail, pushing a stroller on this course would be very difficult and not advised.
5. Can I walk the race?  Yes! Walkers are welcome.  Please start in the back of the race pack.
6. Can I bring my dog?  Well.... This is a color run and colored powder will be thrown on the participants.  Your animals may not appreciate this, so we ask that you leave your pets at home. 

 

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close?  Online registration will remain open through race morning.
2. Can I register on race day?  Yes. Please register online before you come to the race or on your mobile device at the race site.
3. What do I get for my registration fee? All 5K registrants will receive a race number. Everyone registered by August 10th will receive a race shirt. Race shirts are not guaranteed for those that register after August 10th.
4. Is there a benefiting charity?  Yes, race proceeds benefit My Autism Tribe. My Autism Tribe is a local nonprofit organization providing autism education and training to the public along with resources for autism families.
5. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry, registration fees are for the benefit of those served by My Autism Tribe and are non-refundable.

 

Race Timing/Awards/Results

1. Will the race be timed?  Yes! The race will be timed by 3 Way Racing.
2. Will awards be presented after the race?  The award structure is TBD at this time.
