Turkey Trot at Waterset FAQs
Is this a "live" timed race/event?
Yes. You can run or walk but you do need to be finished in 1hr and 20min from the gun start at 8am (You must be off the course by 9:20am). You can run with a stroller however we do ask that yiou start near the back of the starting area. (Sorry, but no Dogs or other pets are allowed at this years event.)
Are Strollers allowed?
Yes, but you must start in the back of the starting area. If you want to run with your family or friends, they must join you in the back of the pack!
Are Pets allowed?
No. Please do not ask. Even if the pet is leashed or in a stroller, No Pets are allowed. Past incidents have caused this change in policy. Thanks for understanding.
What is the refund policy?
Since this is a fundraiser, there will be no refunds this year unless you purchase the race insurance.
Where do the proceeds go?
Proceeds of the Turkey Trot will benefit our local public schools: Doby Elementary, Eisenhower Middle School, East Bay High School and Dorothy C. York Innovation Academy.
What is included with the race entry?
All adult registrants will receive a race bib, dri-fit race t-shirt, mask, and finishers' medal.
Registrants for the Kids Fun Run will receive a race bib, dri-fit race t-shirt, and medal.
Shirts are guaranteed if pre-registered before November 4, so please do not wait, the shirt may not be included in your packet.
When is early packet pickup?
Early packet pick up will be at The Landing Club and Café in Waterset on Wednesday, November 25th from 3pm – 7pm. The address is 7012 Sail View Lane, Apollo Beach, FL 33572.
