RACE MAP
- Click the link to review the Race Course Map.
- The marathon and half marathon at all races will have the option to start at 0630 am for those who need extra time or would like to run when it's a bit cooler.
-
The Marathon will be a certified Boston Marathon Qualifier.
AID STATION/ POTTIES
- There are three aid stations on the course, approximately every two miles.
- I have 7000 16 ounce bottles of water for the aid stations and finish lines.
- If you have a water bottle belt and are comfortable racing with it, this size bottle fits very nicely into it.
- There is a portapotty at each aid station and at least 6 in the park.
- There will be 4 portapotties in the start/finish area, as well as a hand sanitizer station.
ELITE WAVE
- Starts at 8 am both days. . The top three finishers (female and male) in the half marathon and marathon will receive nice bottles of wine as well as a plaque.
- There is an Elite Wave table at each aid station. It is prior to the water table and the age group fluids/nutrition tables.
You are welcome to place your special fluids/nutrition/gels on this table. - Please do not move another runner’s fluids around to make way for yours.
- Athletes are welcome to put their nutrition on the tables prior to the race.
- We’ll have a person who will be running special needs fluids out to the course, however, the best method is to place it there yourself so you know where it is.

- These races are certified Boston Marathon qualifying course. Certificate PA21001NP.
- There will be signs directing athletes and families to the parking area.
- There are not any climbs on either course. Gaining 50 feet per mile is less than a 1 percent grade.
- Mile marker signs at every mile (as well as paint on the road surface). Signs that can’t be missed at the turnarounds (marathon, half-marathon, 10k and 5k).
- Marathon and half marathon turns. Please don’t miss them! Only 5 people have missed turns in the 4 previous years of the race. Each turn will have signage, paint on the ground, cones and more signs letting you know it’s time to turn.
- Race Director Rule of Thumb, “When you think you have enough signs on the course so that nobody can possibly get lost, double the signage!” There will be double the signage on the course.
- Finish line: 106 Scenic Dr., Lackawaxen, PA.
MARKERS
- The low point of the course is at 617'.
- The high point is 5 miles later at 821'.
- This means in 5 miles on the way out to the turnaround, you 'climb' 204'. That calculates to a grade/climb of .77% This means the climb is less than 1%
- You are running with the Lackawaxen River on your left on the way out to the turnaround. This will be the less than 1% climb going out.
- You'll also have less than 1% elevation loss on the way back to the start/finish area. (You'll do this twice for the marathon.)
