The holidays should be a wonderful time of year for all. Unfortunately, some fall on hard times and are unable to provide for themselves or their families. True North Endurance and Events focuses on giving back all year long, especially around the holidays.
So what is Ruckmas? Rucking is walking with a weighted backpack/ruck. Think of it as our version of Santa Claus. You wear a ruck/pack on your back, fill it with goodies, and deliver them to others in need! There is no minimum weight required in your backpack/ruck.
In Person
This year, we will be partnering with The Road Home to donate items in need. The approximate distance we will be rucking is 3 miles roundtrip.

All in person participants will receive a free patch. Every year we create a new Ruckmas patch, themed after a popular Christmas movie. These come in limited quantities and go fast. We also have a variety of clothing options available for purchase at checkout with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Road Home.
Leashed dogs are OK for this event but they must stay on a leash the entire time.

Deadline to purchase swag is November 21, 2023 so it can be handed out onsite.
Virtual Option
Can't join us in person this year? Don't worry, you can participate from wherever you are! Seek out a local non-profit organization in need this holiday season and ruck some goods to donate to them. You can still purchase our limited edition patch along with variety of clothing options.

Deadline to purchase swag is November 14, 2023 so it can be mailed by mid December 2023.

The Charity Beneficiary
The mission of The Road Home is to help people step out of homelessness and back into our community. The Road Home is a private nonprofit social services agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County and along the Wasatch Front. A portion of the proceeds from clothing sales will go directly to The Road Home. 100% of donations during checkout will go directly to The Road Home.
