Description
All proceeds of this race will go to the John Sutherland family to aid in his fight of cancer. John is a husband, father, son, brother and friend to many. He is battling cancer once again. He was first diagnose in 2007, and it has been an ongoing battle ever since. Recently, he had another set back when breathing has become difficult and he is unable to eat or swallow because of the tumors throughout his head pressing on his throat.
John was born and raised in Mona, UT. John is married to Jan Sutherland, who has been working as a lunch lady at Mona Elementary for 20 years. They have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. John has been a volunteer on the Mona Fire department for almost 30 years, and Fire Chief for 27 years. He is also a member of the Juab County Search and Rescue. He has always enjoyed serving and being a member of this community.
This family has done so much for the community, and it is our turn to give back! Join us for a 5K walk/Run, with a lunch lady bake sale after!
