Description
Running is a passion for Kate and she is not letting her "hip" tumor win. Let's all come together and show our support for Kate as she begins her fight against cancer.
Katelyn Bradley, also known as Iron Kate, is a 4th grade teacher at Mountain View Elementary dedicated to changing the lives of every one of her students. Kate loves her students and she has created a space that makes them feel valued and empowered to be better and try harder. Because she loves running, she helped organize an annual 5K at Mountain View to help encourage the students to get out and be more active. Her personal dedication and commitment has modeled how hard work pays off and helps you get stronger. She also coaches Girls on the Run at her school with her sister and niece they get all the girls excited to train to participate in a 5K and learn to love being fit.
Katelyn’s discipline is impressive. She has completed several full and half Iron (Wo)Man’s. Always the most stylish and coordinated athlete, she has the best support team cheering her on every step of the way. Kate and her brother were the “poster” cyclists on the Huntsman 140 billboard, a great example of her commitment to fight cancer.
Katelyn is one of the most kind, most giving women you will ever meet, always willing to help you in any way she can. She has inspired her sisters to become more active and now has them all loving fitness as well. Kate enjoys getting out and being active with friends. She is grateful for all the love and support she receives from family, close friends, the Manzoni 3, KKG and the Salt Lake Tri Club.
Kate was recently diagnosed with a large tumor in her hip (she loves to be “hip” but this isn’t exactly what she had in mind)! She has a challenging course in front of her. She is ready to fight the fight and kick this tumor in the butt. She is our sunshine.
