J-WMS Glow For It Family Fun Run

Join us for the first annual J-WMS Glow For It Family Fun Run! Bring your family and friends for a fun night of fitness at Johnson-Williams Middle School!

When: Saturday, December 8th, 2018

Where: Johnson-Williams Middle School, course starts and ends on the track

Time: Race begins at 6pm, check in starts at 5pm

Participants will run and/or walk the 2 mile cross country course while shining bright in their best glow gear. Follow the lights and glow paint along the J-WMS track, sports fields, and hills to experience the J-WMS cross country course at night. Current and former students, athletes, families, local runners, faculty, and staff will join together to light up the night in celebration of health, wellness, and J-WMS spirit!

Features:

• Participants are encouraged to wear neon, reflective, glowing, and lit gear!
• Race swag and prizes!
  • Various awards including the "Shine Bright" award for the brightest participant
  • A starter glow kit will be provided for all runners registered by Thanksgiving (November 22nd)
  • Deluxe Glow Kit Raffle prizes for pre-registered runners 
• Mixed terrain around the campus with one section of moderate hills
• Unofficial timing
  • Are you a former J-WMS XC or Track athlete? Come out to see if you can run the course as fast as you used to!
  • Current students: Challenge your parents and siblings to a race! Who can finish the course first?
• Hot chocolate, popcorn, and other concessions will be available for purchase courtesy of the J-WMS Athletic Boosters
• CCHS Screamin' Eagle band members performing
• Guest appearance by the J-WMS Cougar
• J-WMS Sports Equipment Drive
  • Do you have gently used sports equipment sitting in your garage? Do you want to get rid of it? Donate it to the PE program!
• J-WMS SCA Holiday Canned Food Drive
  • Help those in need by bringing a non-perishable food donation

Adults (18 and over) - $10

• Family Pack discount -- register 3 or more participants at once and receive $1 off per participant
• All race day registrations will be standard price and must be completed on site
