Turkey Trot 5k

Engineering Student Council at the University of Virginia is hosting a Turkey Trot 5k to benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank!  Each year, ESC hosts a Month of Giving with a series of events to benefit a local organization.  All of the proceeds of the race will go toward the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. 

The Blue Ridge Food Bank serves 25 counties and 8 cities providing nutritious food to over 100,000 people each month.  Hunger affects 1 out of every 12 children and 1 out of every 12 neighbors in the Blue Ridge service area. In order to raise awareness, do our part for the community, and support our neighbors, we will be hosting a Turkey Trot 5k on November 20th, 2021.  There will also be a Virtual Edition of the Turkey Trot from November 20th-28th, 2021. It is our hope that on these days, you will share how you walked or ran to support this cause. 

We invite you to run the race in person on November 20th.  The race will start at 9am at Wilsdorf Patio. Not in Charlottesville? No problem! Simply upload your times into Strava here and you will be ranked on the leaderboard.
