The Hunt For Hyco Run Challenge

The Hunt For Hyco is a 26.2 mile run challenge that will start at The Brick and finish at the Hyco Lake Campground.  Participants can choose to run the entire distance or join a four-person team.  However, teams are responsible for there own transportation and safety entering and exiting vehicles and pricing is the same as an individual participants.  There will be two SAG wagons patrolling the run course providing water and snacks as needed but we RECOMMEND runners to be prepared to be self-sufficient.  This means water bottles, hydration packs, nutrition etc... to be carried with you.  The Hunt For Hyco goal is to raise funds for a Hyco Lake program titled "Fishing With Cops".  This program teaches kids the art of fishing, lake life and water safety as they work closely with water patrol and Game Wardens.  The Hunt For Hyco is a road run course with a police escort guiding us safely over the rolling hills of 58E until we reach 62 which will then take us through Milton, Semora and into the Hyco Campground. On arrival to the campground, there will be an air-conditioned Community Center with fresh showers, bathrooms and a post-race cookout for all to enjoy! Also, there will be finisher's trucker hats to all who complete the challenge and volunteer trucker hats to those who help out.  This Run will start promptly at 5:00 AM allowing for less traffic, cooler temperatures and more lake time to hang out afterwards.  Lastly, we will have volunteers and runner family members bring everyone back to The Brick late afternoon.  Any participants can also schedule rides home, call Ubers etc.. anytime they are ready to call it a day.  The Brick is stoked to put on this Challenge and look forward to running with you all soon!
