Description
We would like to invite you to join us on April 12, 2018 at our 22nd Annual Victims' Rights 5K Run/Walk! This event seeks to educate and raise awareness about violence prevention in the Mason Community. The proceeds of this event go to support the George Mason University Victims of Violence Fund and the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Program. Mason's Victims of Violence Fund, administered by Student Support and Advocacy Center, provides direct assistance to student survivors of sexual assault, stalking, and dating/partner violence. The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program, sponsored by Department of Police and Public Safety, is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance, then progresses to the basics of hands-on self-defense training. Donations to these programs for the Victims' Rights 5K Run/Walk are made through the George Mason University Foundation. To register please visit: vrrw.gmu.edu
