Happy 10th Anniversary to us! To kick off the festivities, we invite you to our $5 5k! Think Group Run but so much more. Not only do you get to start the day off with friends, you'll be raising money for Thrive so they can continue to help those in our community who need our support! After your run, stick around and enjoy food trucks and of course, the tap room will be open!
100% of race entry fees go directly to THRIVE Peninsula, a 501c (3) non-profit organization, is committed to assisting Virginia Peninsula families through difficult times. Thrive Peninsula is dedicated to our community.
The mission: To Encourage, Educate and Empower our
Peninsula neighbors in need toward transformed
and self-sustaining lives.
The vision: A united Peninsula faith community, partnering with community resources, to help those most in need resolve their immediate crises and lead lives of more faithful stewardship.
The goals:
- Provide emergency food and financial aid to eligible individuals and families
- Motivate, mentor and equip people to participate in the resolution of their financial hardships
- Advocate cooperation between people and creditors
- Refer to appropriate supportive resources
- Lead a collaboration of Peninsula faith-based organizations and other contributors to accomplish these goals
