Description

Join us for the VSU AAA/Alumni 5K! The 5k run will be hosted by Phi Beta Sigma Alumni Association (PBSAA) of Virginia State University to raise funds for scholarship for students. The run also serves as means to bring awareness, build community relationships, and promote health and wellness. The 5k is open to competitive runners, fun runners, walkers and families. The event will be held on Saturday, April 15th 2023 at 9am. Proceeds will benefit The Phi Beta Sigma Alumni Association Annual Scholarship.

When: Saturday April 15, 2023 - 9:00am runners start (in person); April 9-15, 2023 (virtual submissions) 

Location: Directly behind Rogers Stadium home stands 4th Ave, Virginia State University, Petersburg, VA  

Registration: 5k early bird: $25 for all participants; $35 after April 1st. Onsite registration available.

Bib Pickup: Race day starting at 8am 

Commemorative race shirts and medals will be provided to all participants.

Virtual Participation Instructions

Interested in participating however not physically able to attend April 16th? Great news, by selecting the virtual option you could still be part of the event! After registering for the virtual event you will have the ability to log-in to the race website and upload your results. Between April 10th-16th (10am)  virtual time and distance submissions will be open for virtual registrants. Here are instructions on uploading virtual results: 

  1. Navigate to the race's RunSignup race page > and select the Result tab > then select Submit Virtual Result
  2. Next search for your registration either by first and last name or by email address and DOB.
  3. Once you have found your registration select Submit Virtual Results > Enter in your time > then select Submit Results
