Description
The Powhatan Village Run 4-Miler: the cure for the common 5K: Saturday, September 1 at 8 AM.
Established in 1981 and a Labor Day Weekend tradition in Powhatan since 1989, the Village Run welcomes runners of all ages and abilities. Though we have donated thousands of dollars to local causes, the primary purpose of the race has been to provide a fun and quality road race in a hospitable setting. We are proud to be one of Central VA's oldest and BEST road races. The course is generally flat and runs through the streets (and shade) of the courthouse village and the trails of Fighting Creek Park. This year's race will benefit the Powhatan High School cross country and track teams.
Course: Start and finish will be at the Powhatan YMCA in Fighting Creek Park. Miles 1-3 traverse the streets of the Village of Powhatan. Mile 4 runs on the beautiful Fighting Creek Park Trail before returning to Mann Rd just west of the starting line.
