New Date for ASCV 5K & Family Fun Day!

New Date: August 1, 2020

Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and our commitment to the health and safety of our community, the ASCV has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 ASCV 5K & Family Fun Day. Our new date will be Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Stony Point Fashion Park.

Previously registered participants will automatically be transferred to the new date.  If you cannot join us, please choose an option below. If you have not yet registered for the event, please click the "X" in the upper right corner to exit this pop-up, and click "Sign Up" to join us on August 1st!

Currently in its 18th year, the 5K & Family Fun Day is the ASCV’s signature annual event, providing celebration and community for our families while generating significant funds for the ASCV’s programming.  We’ll still be back at Stony Point with the same schedule and event features you know and love. We hope you will be able to join us for this day full of inspiration, community, and fun, just a little later than planned!

Here Are Your Options:

Your registration will automatically transfer to August 1.  We look forward to seeing you then!

We are sorry you can't join us on August 1st! Virtual races allow you to join the fun on your own time. Run or walk a 5K (3.2 miles) sometime before August 1st, send us proof, and we'll send your t-shirt!

We are sorry you can't join us on August 1st!  Thank you for understanding that events are expensive to host, and donating your registration fees to help cover our costs. We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

The 18th Annual Autism Society Central Virginia 5K & Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Stony Point Fashion Park.  This family-friendly event will include on-stage entertainment, a kids zone and fun run, a Resource Fair, food vendors, a competitive 5K, and more!

Register your team today, fundraise together, and join us for this fun and inspiring day as we honor and support our local autism community.  Our goal is to raise $180,000 in honor of our 18th Anniversary year.

The Autism Society Central Virginia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is proud to be the region’s premier source of education, advocacy, and support for individuals with autism, their families, and professionals. Autism is a developmental disability that occurs in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. Many individuals with autism have significant social, communication, and behavioral challenges. The prevalence rate of autism continues to rise, and currently the CDC estimates that an average of 1 in 59 children in the US has autism.

The ASCV serves as the local voice and resource for the Central Virginia autism community. Funds raised from the ASCV 5K & Family Fun Day will provide much needed support, resources, and programs for local families living with autism. The funds raised here, stay here!
