Rally your amigos (virtually, of course) and log some miles before taking down some take-out tacos, or a homemade Mexican feast. Top it off with the world’s coolest ever taco shirt from us. How it works
- Register through May 17
- Run or walk 5k wherever you like (remember to follow social distancing guidelines!)
- If you register by April 30, shirts will start shipping the week of May 3
Celebrate your race:
- Either make your own or order from one of our great local restaurants!
- Snap a photo and send it to us, or tag @sportsbackers on social media. Use #RVATacoTrot and together we’ll make social distancing feel not quite as isolating!

Let’s Go, RVA! Our mission is to inspire active living in all corners of our community. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for safe & accessible bike & pedestrian infrastructure, offer free fitness classes, support run clubs during non-pandemic times at area schools, & develop fun, new participatory events for our entire community.
Now, more than ever, our community needs to be physically active. Due to COVID-19, we had to stop all in-person events & cancel all in-person programming in the Spring 2020. Since then, we have reimaged our events & programs bringing virtual & social distancing options to our region.
