What You Get

 

  • 13 weeks of customized workout challenges

  • Printed Super Fit Challenge Tracker that includes each of your weekly challenges

Challenge Format

 

  • Complete 6 activities each week and use your tracker to keep track of the activities you complete

  • Once you’ve completed 4 weeks of challenges, report your progress to earn your Super Fit t-shirt!

  • Complete at least 8 weeks of challenges to be entered to win a Super Fit prize pack

Meet Your Head Coach: Coach Jacki

Jacki is always on the go, from youth run clubs to Fitness Warriors classes. She’s been coaching and leading youth programs for over 15 years, with experience working with kids of all ages and ability levels. She has her Group Fitness Instructor certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and is also an ACE Behavior Change Specialist and ACE Youth Fitness Specialist. Coach Jacki likes to make sure that fitness is fun and interactive! When she’s not coaching, she’s spending time with her 12 year old daughter, logging miles, trying a new fitness challenge, or working on her next certification.

Activity Types

Kids Run Activity of the Week – a fun, theme-based activity to complete on your own or with your family or run club!

Brain Break University Give your brain a break as you follow along with these 3-5 minute videos, led by college athletes!

Workout Wednesday Club – Attend this 45 minute fun workout on Zoom, led by a Kids Run RVA Coach! Each club will have a theme of the week.

Fit4Kids Healthy Habits Challenge a challenge to take your fitness journey beyond physical activity and learn healthy habits!

Moving Minutes – a time-based challenge to help you build your cardio endurance!

Super Fit Activity – a challenge to help you build those muscles!

Playing comes natural to kids! Sports Backers created Kids Run RVA to make running and active living just as fun and easy. Kids Run RVA promotes physical activity to youth across the Richmond region and encourages more kids to get moving more often. Between all of our programs and events, Kids Run RVA instills healthy habits that continue to flourish into adolescence and adulthood.

Kids Run RVA provides training opportunities for youth of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. For schools in low income communities, Kids Run RVA is covering the cost of students participating in the Super Fit Challenge.

Donations are critical to the program’s success. Each time a child laces up his or her shoes, you will be giving them the most important gift of all-a path to good health and fitness!

Let’s Go, RVA! Sports Backers' mission is to inspire active living in all corners of our community. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit org dedicated to advocating for safe & accessible bike & pedestrian infrastructure, offer free fitness classes, support run clubs during non-pandemic times at area schools, & develop fun, new participatory events for our entire community.

Now, more than ever, our community needs to be physically active. Due to COVID-19, we had to stop all in-person events & cancel all in-person programming in the Spring 2020. Since then, we have reimaged our events & programs bringing virtual & social distancing options to our region.
