SMS Junior Beta 5K Run/Walk

Event Description:

This 5K is a fundraiser event for the Junior Beta Club at Shawsville Middle School. This is a bright and talented group of young men and women that work to support their community through service events and represent their school by competing at Beta Club academic competitions. The proceeds from this event will go to support members of the Beta Club as they travel to Nashville, TN this summer to compete at the 2022 National Junior Beta Convention.

Route Description:

The Junior Beta Club 5K course is a relatively flat loop. The course will begin on the track at Oldtown Fields (across from Shawsville Middle School). Runners will loop Oldtown Fields then head out to Oldtown Road (SR 753). They will proceed west along Oldtown Road. At the intersection with Route 460, runners will swing left and run along the shoulder of 460 until they reach Stewart Lane (SR 1002). At the top of the hill, runners will turn right to return to Oldtown Road, finishing the race back at the middle school.
