14th Annual Club at Ironwood Turkey Trot 5K and 1-Miler Fun Run/Walk

Get ready to kick off your Thanksgiving morning with fun, fitness, and festive spirit! Join us in person for a pre-meal 5K or 1-Miler, and don’t be afraid to dress in your best Thanksgiving-themed attire. Celebrate your hard work at the finish line with a tasty Pumpkin Pie Bite reward!

About Valley CAC:

Valley Children’s Advocacy Center (Valley CAC) is a local nonprofit dedicated to helping child abuse victims in the Staunton, Augusta, and Waynesboro area. We partner with law enforcement and Child Protective Services to provide critical services—Forensic Interviews, Victim Advocacy, and Therapy—completely free of charge. Nearly 75% of the cases we handle involve sexual abuse allegations, so your support truly makes a difference in the lives of local children and their families.

Course Information:

Our course is semi-challenging with multiple hills, offering a great workout for both runners and walkers. You’ll enjoy a scenic route that winds through the beautiful Club at Ironwood golf course, making it a picture-perfect way to start your Thanksgiving morning.

Registration: 

• Registration opens September 22
• Each registration includes a special event t-shirt. Register by November 7 to guarantee your t-shirt
• Pre-registration will remain open until November 25 at 11:59 PM
• Day-of registration will be available on race morning until 8:30 AM

Please note: Race t-shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations completed after the November 7 deadline.

Packet Pick-Up:

Wednesday, November 26th: 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Valley CAC, 1105 Greenville Ave, Staunton, VA 24401. Please come in the front door that faces Greenville Ave. Parking is available behind our building, and on the side that faces Select Bank.  A friend or family member may pick up packets or the morning before the race. 

Race Day Schedule:

Pre-race Festivities: Behind the Ironwood building, enjoy dancing, opening remarks, and the National Anthem performed by Kathy Lafon.
Day-of Registration & Packet Pick-Up: Open until 8:30 am.
1-Miler: Begins shortly after the opening remarks.
5K: Starts after the opening remarks; participants will be led to the 5K start line by our Turkey Mascot!

 If ice is present, we will not be able to access the course. Messaging will be provided to all registrants via email.

Awards & Swag:

There will be awards given to the top Male and Female 5K finishers
