Description
Stretch your running legs and support Grove Christian Outreach Center at the 3rd annual Grove Trotter 10K. The event will be held Saturday, October 14th taking off from Chickahominy Riverfront Park. The run will start out going over the Chickahominy River Bridge, out 5K on the Capital Trail and then back in to the park for a full 10K. The entire run will take place on the well maintained Capital Trail. This is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix event, and awards will be given for various age groups.
The Grove Trotter 10K Bridge run is the inaugural event sponsored by Grove Christian Outreach Center. The Outreach Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing food, clothing and financial assistance for impoverished families in the Grove community located in lower James City County. Registration Fees & Rules
Time: 7:30am Packet Pick-up
9:00am 10K Run and Walk
11:00am Post Race Awards
All participants will receive a T-shirt to commemorate the event. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each category, listed below.
(Registration must be received by Oct 5th in order to guarantee T-shirt size.)

Top 3 men and women race walkers
Top 3 in each of 12 age groups: 19-and-under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-and-over
10K Walk 10K Run
$35 $35 Early bird registration from August 1st through September 17th
$40 $40 Registration purchased September 17th through October 9th
$45 $45 Registration purchased October 10th through October 14th
$50 $50 Race day registration
Refund Policy: All entry fees and processing fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, with no exceptions. Registrations cannot be deferred to a later race. Bib numbers are not transferrable. There will be no refunds in the event of postponements or cancellations due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Race Course
The Grove Trotter 10K Bridge Run will start at Chickahominy Riverfront Park, heading over the Chickahominy River Bridge, out 5K on the Capital Trail and then turn back to the park for a full 10K.
