This event will bring people together to fight eating disorders through participation in the NEDA 5k Run/Walk. Proceeds of the NEDA Walk support critical programs and services that work to eliminate eating disorders and improve prevention, treatment and research. Eating disorders are potentially life-threatening illnesses that afflict more than 11 million Americans, but they are also treatable with your help. Headquartered in Seattle, NEDA is the largest nonprofit organization in the world working to support those affected by eating disorders and serve as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to treatment. Last year, nearly 300 people participated in the Williamsburg NEDA 5k Walk/Run, and we raised over $20,000. In addition, we were the largest NEDA Walk outside of New York City. The course for the 5k (which you can run or walk) will be through the lovely campus of The College of William & Mary. There will be free food, an inspirational speaker, door prizes, a cappella groups, and more! In addition, the team that raises the most money will also be given free Chipotle. Check the website for updates on the schedule and prizes.
