Yorktown Independence Day 8K Run/Walk

This is a Chip timed 8K event that participants can run or walk on the 4th of July on the historic Yorktown Battlefield Tour Road. Celebrate Independence on the best 8K running/walking course on the Peninsula! Race  participants will park and gather near the York High School tennis courts ( 9300 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown, VA 23692)  and will be led to the start line by Fife and Drummers.  Race Day packet pick up only! 7AM-8:30 AM.

The 8K race starts at 8 AM. The 5K Fun Run starts at 8:30 AM

All 8K participants receive a custom race T and the first 450 to register and finish receive a beautiful custom die cast commemorative medal.  Awards for the top three overall men and women. New for 2024, 8K participants will compete for Age Group awards starting at 14 and under, 15-19, Five year increments from 20-24 to 75 and over.

All 5K Fun Run participants receive a finisher coin and a custom race T while supplies last.  The 5K Run walk is not a timed event.
