Description
Riverside bears will be hosting a virtual 1K/5K family walk-run to continue to promote lifetime fitness and overall wellness. We are asking families to complete the walk or run while practicing social distancing. Wear blue to support Riverside Elementary!
Cost: FREE- signs up start May 13th and run through June 15th
When: May 13th- June 15th Anytime during these days, run a .62 mile or 3.1 miles.
How is it going to work? Choose your location of choice, map your run or walk using the MapMyRun app or a GPS watch, or map your path prior to going out and mark your time when you reach the 1K (.62 mile) or 5K (3.1 miles) distance. When you are done, log your time on the runsignup.com website where you registered.
MapMyRun app is a great because it make it easy to track you distance. A Fibits, Apple Watch, or Garmin Watch will also track your distance phone free.
Send in your pictures: We'd like to show the Riverside community how we are all in this together, while staying fit and active. Send a picture of you and/or your family participating!
