Lou Gehrig's Virtual Half & 8k

This is in memory of Lou Gehrig as the 2012 Major League Baseball regular season comes to a close and the playoffs commence.  

Lou Gehrig was diagnosed with ALS in 1939 and consequently succumbed to it on June 2, 1941.

All runs must be ran from October 3-7, 2012.  All finishers will receive a medal.  Medals will be shipped out within 1-3 days of receiving your finishing time.

Bibs and details on how to submit finishing times will be sent to all participants during the last week of September.

All participants in the half marathon may enter for a gift card from a running store. To enter the participant must run the 13.1 mi in one run and a photograph of an electronic device recording the distance ran and time must be emailed to the email address provided at a later date.

These races are being held by a runner participating in the Marine Corp Marathon.  All funds after covering overhead expenses (medals & shipping) will go to the ALS Assoc. - DC/MD/VA Chapter.
