Welcome to the First, and possibly last, Iguana Trot.
This 5k is brought to you by Blue Sky Ceremony and Island Mike.
Go hard-core on this one or take a leisurely walk or run on this gorgeous course. Heck, bring your dog if you like.
The first 90 participants will receive a race t-shirt that is quite lovely. If you miss the first 90, you can always buy a shirt the day of for $25.
What race wouldn't be complete without some cause being represented. So we have a cause. And it's a pretty fantastic cause.
All proceeds will go to the Blue Sky Ceremony Scholarship Fund. Basically it's straight up cash to be delivered to a well-deserving island lady or lad that is attending the local university. The beneficiary is some one that demonstrates strong moral character and a desire to enter the hard sciences.
The Scholarship Fund is entirely funded by the proceeds of the race and through corporate sponsors. The cool part is that you will get to meet the recipient and wish him or her well.
