Join us as we celebrate 15 years of The Classic, welcoming runners to Fresno for a truly unique race experience. Choose from the Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K, each offering a memorable run through the heart of Downtown Fresno, with select distances passing through one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

Half Marathon & 10K runners will enjoy an unforgettable journey through Sea Lion Cove, African Adventure, and the New Kingdom of Asia at Fresno Chaffee Zoo, before finishing in grand style at Chukchansi Park.

Prefer a shorter distance?

Our 5K Run/Walk does not travel through the zoo, but still delivers all the excitement, amenities, and celebration that make The Classic special.

The Classic Half Marathon is a 20‑point race in the CLASSIC Runner of the Year Series.

Although the 5K course does not run through the zoo, all participants receive the full set of amenities.

10K Zoo Run 🦁

The 10K Zoo Run is a point‑to‑point 6.2‑mile experience.

• Start just outside Fresno Chaffee Zoo
• Run through the zoo alongside Half Marathon participants
• Wind through Downtown Fresno
• Finish at Chukchansi Park

Yes, you’ll be running through the zoo, surrounded by incredible animal exhibits and shared race‑day energy.

Transportation:

• 10K runners will be bused from Chukchansi Park to Fresno Chaffee Zoo
• The 10K and Half Marathon will start at the same time, finishing together at Chukchansi Park

Important 10K Participant Note 

There will be no packet pickup at the zoo.

• If you need to pick up your packet on race morning, you must do so at Chukchansi Park
• After packet pickup, you will board the bus to the 10K start at Fresno Chaffee Zoo
